Planning a what?
So, we continue on our journey of planning this celebration of starting our lives together. I have actually enjoyed the whole experience. Sure there have been some stresses but nothing not worth stressing about. We have managed to nail down most of the important things at a fairly early stage. We both have had to make compromises but we are pretty excited about the whole thing. I was hoping for more drunk Scots then she was but we have come to solid agreements that large, drunk men in kilts are not necessary to have a great day. I can appreciate her perspective on that. I have access to a bag piper even but I think that may annoy me even.
Back on track, I figured I would post up a couple of links to the people involved in our wedding. Mostly our photographer and the dude playing the music at the wedding and the caterer. The caterer isn't so exciting except that we are having steak so that is cool for an outspoken carnivore like myself.
So anyway, we are super excited about our photographer. Her name is Jenn Roach and she is from Calgary. She is super cool and we are totally stoked to have her stealing our souls with her magic picture box. Check out her website at www.jennroach.com Her pics are cool and she is a camp person (not our camp but we can forgive her for that)
Music at our ceremony is being provided by the one and only Andy Shauf. He is totally hot and all the girls love him and he is a rock star for sure. You can listen to some of his music at www.purevolume.com/andyshauf He's my hero for coming to our wedding and making beautiful sounds.
The caterer is Bob Ronnie Catering. They are from Ponoka and have treated us great. They are going to BBQ me steak and give me potatoes so they are going to be my favorite people at the wedding next to Kendra I suppose. But she is not people, she is a person, so they do get to be my favorite people. Maybe I could give them the award of "Favorite People in a group of 2 or More" That sounds like on of those lame awards they give at the Oscars so everyone feels important... I hate the Oscars.
Ok , so to recap...no drunk Scots, but lots of dead cow. Couldn't ask for anything more.
See you at our wedding. Unless you weren't invited. Its not that you weren't important but just not important enough.

What's in the Van Day 2 (Morning)
Well, day 2 of my quest turned out to be quite the adventure so far. I guess I will break the news early this time...I didn't win....Again. Does this mean that I will quit? Does this mean that I will throw in the towel? No sir, not this cat. I mean c'mon, what else am I gonna do this week that is this productive. I am gonna post my pics from the contest today so I can get to the good and entertaining stuff that happened.

Then on to the van...pretty location today...
Now. the winner today picked the envelope and not the van...and good thing cause there was a puzzle in the van...I think I would want to keep the rabbit though.

And what did the lucky fellow (obviously NOT me) win? $850 COLD HARD CASH...

Making him quite the happy fellow. (Again, notice how this isn't me!)

Ok, now before I realized that my winning was not happening this morning, even before I got through my lovely Timmys coffee, the event of the day so far happened right in front of me. I was just standing there on the corner of 104st and 109 ave when this '86 or so Dodge Caravan slams into the back of a REALLY nice Jag. Heck of a crash let me tell you. Well, everyone involved seemed fine with the exception of the van and the Jag. Here's my pics of the events that shaped my morning...
Notice that the rear end of the Jag has a nice downward angle now...
Notice the high class plastic and duct tape rear window the van was already showing off before the accident even happened...maybe this lady should stick with the bus.
Edmonton's Finest doing their thing
Well, there you have it. Another day, another not win by me. The van will be at Rexall tonight and so will I. More good things to come.

What's in the Van Man? Week
http://www.radiosonic.fm/contests/index.php?entry=entry060519-112246 Go there if you wanna know about it. So anyway, you get your name in a draw. If you get picked, then you get to pick an envelope of some unknown amount of money or "whats in the van".
Ok, truth is, this ticket did nothing for me today. But I will keep on trying. But the good thing is I have all week and they do this twice a day. Today the girl that won picked what was in the van. Thats good because the envelope has $5.00 in it and the van had a new 30Gig iPod. That could have been mine. Not today. Maybe tomorrow. I guess its still cool cause I scored the obigatory "free radio station promotional stuff...

Other than that here is a couple pics of NOT ME winning...

Ohhh...one redeeming thing about the day was this kid. Some parents need to feel cool so they use their kids...

Well, until next time...

More...not new
Why is it that female type humans always feel the need to either be in a relationship or be responsible for one happening. It's not that I am against a couple of friends introducing friends, but when the need to have the credit and the glory if something works out is completely unneccessary. Take my life for example. Girl A and Girl B are very good friends with Girl C. I happen to like Girl C quite a bit. Now I have not informed A or B of this fact but the truth exists that they are women and can quite possibly sense this sort of thing. So in my perfect world I would pursue C based on my decsions and abilitys and would hopefully convince...er...persuade her into wanting to spend some quality time with me. That is not, however, the world that I live in. A and B, not consulting me, have decided to set me and C up. This hasn't happened yet but that is beside the point. So now C has to deal with the pressure of her friends making my efforts void and giving them the credit. This girl thing isn't easy and if one of us males makes it work, we deserve something for it don't you think? Like at least the satisfaction of knowing that it is not only our mom's that think we have something special. But if A and B are involved, the credit goes to them. "Ya, we set them up...what a cute couple. Aren't we so COOL." So I have decided to take a less than tactful approach and ask the afformetioned letters to not encroach on my hunting grounds...not to sound like this is sport..but inkeeping with this illustration, if I am going to go hunting, I don't need some lonley guide to call the game in for me. Anyway, I have spouted off enough and rambled even more. I am going to retire now and we will see what transpires in the future. All I know is that if C goes for it, the first thing I am going to have to do is confirm that is was not due to any involvement of A or B. Why the crap did I pick letters anyway?
